2D Image To 3D Terrain
I want to create 3D surfaces (not only terrains)
by using 2D monochorome bitmap pixel intensities.
It will be good if it is possible to make 3d
object in color. I mean ie.top of the terrain
way be white(snow)...Or a gradient may be mapped
to image...
Then I`ll try to make an application to provide
rotating and lighting from different positions.
Is there any example code and library available
for Delphi?
Regards
Gokhan

Try GLScene... it`s an OpenGL package for Delphi, I`ve found it easy to use
and well supported.

http://www.glscene.org/

I believe there is even a component in the package that will map a 3d
surface from an image based on the color value of each pixel.

Hope it helps out.

John.
