CFFile generates HTML, then it won`t refresh?
I`m not sure if this is a CF problem, an IIS problem or what, but I can
hope.
Some code I`ve inherited uses CFFILE to generate a log of what it`s
doing in HTML format. At the end of the operations, the last thing to
be written is a link to take you to the next stage of the job. This log
file is being displayed in a window as things go on, with a tag at the
start that makes it refresh every few seconds.
So far, so annoying - but it doesn`t seem to work. I`ve had to hack the
code quite a lot in moving it from CF5 to CFMX and from Oracle to
SQLServer, so this may be something I`ve done, or it may be a CF5/MX
difference?
What actually happens is that the page is displayed down to about
halfway, then later updates don`t show on refreshes. Even CTRL-
refreshes. If I open the file directly from the disc where it`s been
created, I can see everything including the link, but if I open it
through the correct URL, I can only see half-way.
I`m wondering if CFFILE is in some way holding the file open, and
that`s causing trouble?
I`m running IIS on the server, and my browser is standard MSIE.
Any ideas where I should be looking?
