extending a "hotel room availability" db table
hi guys,
I have the following table, storin information about room availability for a
hotel:

*availability* (*id**, room_type*, num_rooms); //The *italics* refers to
foreign keys
This table is part of a pseudo-availability system. Pseudo because
initially no date was required for the availability check.
But now I have to extend this table to include dates. What is the best way
to do that?
Maybe something like:
*availability* (*id**, room_type*, date_from, date_to, num_rooms);
And then check occupied rows for availability ?
Any idea ?
