how to instal the perl upgrade version in linux..

how to instal the perl upgrade version in linux..

hi ..All
please can u able to solve this problem..
i am using the linux .in that we have perlv5.8.0 version.. i want to instal
the HTML::Template Module .. for CGI::Application module..
because of using the CGI::Application::redirect module..
so when iam instaling this HTML::Template , then it shows the version
problem.. it needs to have v5.8.1 version to instal. in linux mechine..
will u please give any alternate solution for this..

NOTE: my intension is to redirect...for that we have this v5.8.0 perl
version..

please reveal me on this issue..

Why dont you upgrade your Perl version ?

how to instal the perl upgrade version in linux..

If you are using a rpm based linux distribution, then download the latest perl
rpm file and type "rpm -Uvh perl-version.rpm" as root.

now i came to know .. but i have one dout..
in that linux mechine ..having some files .. which are related to perl ie., pl
files..it wont happen any corrupt ..right..

No i dont think so, all the newer versions are mostly backwards compatible.
