Ms Word text extractor

Ms Word text extractor
Dear Friends,
I know how to read from excel via a script . I want the same with ms Word
document. ie. I can extract links or the text from the ms word document.
I searched phpclasses.org but with no result.
Can anyone here help give me a link.
