Perl Help
Hi
I am new to perl
I would like your help for the following
I want to write a script which would poll a web page, say every two
minutes, and record the changes on that page into a local database or
file. E.g. I could be checking the scores of a match or some share or
stock prices.

Your question`s a bit vague, do you need the part where (1) it does this every
two minutes, (2) the page parser, or (3) the code that gets pages?
for (1)
What OS are you using? It`s better to do this using cron job. - of course, you
probably know that. Another fun (?!) thing to do would be an infinite loop
that would call your code and sleep for 2minutes. :)
for (2)
Other people might give more help on this one.
for (3)
I`m not a Perl-purist, so what i would do (in a cron job) is to wget the page.
