Perl Question, Any Takers?

Hello People, I am sure you have seen it
done, where a Perl CGI script will go and
get a remote document, or run a search on a remote
application, and grab a certain section of the search
results, or of static code, and returns this
data and displays it as output of the script itself. (this is too
long, I hope you understand what I mean,
hehe) Anyway. How does Perl do this? I mean, `go get` a remote
document? I`ve seen it done in quite a few
programs..... So, I`ve looked at the source of these
scripts, and I cannot figure them out at all, it
seems everythign refrences to something else, which
refrences to something else, and I cannot make sense of it. Is there a
simple way to open a remote document, and display
it as output of the CGI program? You
can do this with an image, with a simple image display
script, could I just change the header data
(`content type`) from GIF to TEXT/HTML? I`ve tried that and
returned 500 errors, is there something else I need to
change for this to work? I hope I have not
consumed much of your time, and even more, I hope
you have an answer for me, to make things seems simple on how
to do this, I feel like they must be, I just
canont figure it out! I hope someone can answer
this, It is really basic, but it seems like I will get
no answer. Nate PS- Why the heck do
you have a base url for the source of the club logo
on the main page?? That makes no sense... Try using
the Perl Camel for a
logo: <a href=http://ora.com/graphics_new/camel_xs.gif
target=new>http://ora.com/graphics_new/camel_xs.gif</a>
