hello all
I am facing trouble while creating dynamic pages with perl.
I have a perl (.pl) file in which i am creating a log file and writing
to it.
In the same perl file i`m creating a dynamic html page.
the problem is the log file is not being created.
the same perl program works fine without the code for dynamic html
page generation. i.e if i remove the html tags the .pl file creates and
writs to the log file...
Pls suggest some solution asap.

You need an urgent response and you use this subject!
That`s not very likely to happen. More people respond to
helpful subjects than to erroneous ones.

Then there is an error in the html generation portion of
the script. Without actually seeing the script or knowing a whole
heck of a lot more info, we couldn`t begin to really help you.
Show us your code.

Hi
I would suggest to call exec function to call Dynamic Html File, which should
be later after creating log file.
or else create a package and import it in code , to create a html file.

can u send the code that u have written !!
What error u r getting after running the perl file ?
Try running the perl file from command prompt and see u are getting the
desired result or not ?

hi
i hav got the solution... by changing the permissions...
have another problem!!!!!
I hav IP addr 90 as my Dataserver(ds)... 70 as my web-server(ws)
...K..now my job is wenever a client makes a request for rainfall
data I shud get the data from ds and plot it on map of india
(which i`m able to do using another pgm)... and then send this map
to the ws, which inturn returns it to the client`s system...
now suppose Client-A requested for the data of 19th Dec 2005...
he gets the map for it... n a few secs later the Client-B requests for
10th Dec 2005 data he`ll get the map for tat day
the trouble is now if the Client-A refreshes
(or reloads in case of Linux OS) his/her page...
He/She too will get the 10th Dec map... which Client-A never
requested for...
Now do u understand the prob...
its tat rite now we are copying the andswer to the request from ds
to ws...
So all the clients are getting the same output at one given time..
So tel me how can i redirect each ones output to them individually....
