Outlook plugin/add-in/customization?

Outlook plugin/add-in/customization?
Hi,

I need to develop a Microsoft Outlook plugin. Is it easy? Do you know
of any resources where I can start? The Outlook version is 2003. I
can develop it in Visual Basic.NET or Visual C#.NET, right?

The plugin is a simple confirm (but customized) message before the user
sending out an email. It sounds simple, right?

My concern is that this steps into the middle of a built-in process of
a Outlook feature. That may be hard to do. Add-ins/Plugins are
usually independent features of Outlook built-in features.

Outlook plugin/add-in/customization?
I need more information about membership and profiles in 2.0 I am trying to
design a database and remembered that I thought the userid information can
be stored in the sql base using profile but I don`t know in what tables or
how to related a user ID to profile data.
