Extracting info from memo field
Hi
I have an Access datafile (ASSESSMENTS) indexed by a number
(ASSESSCODE). It has a memo field (CHEMS) which is used to collect
information on chemicals, including a reference number (contained in
square brackets). For example, the memo field in a given record might
contain:
[234]
[12]
[2305]
What I want to be able to do is scan through the datafile, examining
each memo field in turn and exporting the numbers in brackets into a
new datafile (ASSESSCHEM) where it is linked to ASSESSMENTS by
ASSESSCODE. So, for the above example, I would get three new records
in ASSESSCHEM.
Any ideas on how to go about doing this using CF would be most
appreciated.
