How to read memory mapped files
Hi,

I have done memory mapping on LINUX OS MPC860
processor through C++ interface.Since these memory
mapped files are in binary format how can we read
them.I tried compiling and generating the executable
for reading the files using ppc_8xx which is used for
developing executable for the above mentioned
processor on an intel processor but this lead to big
endian and little endian problem. Please help me with
this.

Thanks and Regards
binni

How to read memory mapped files
As far as i know in vc++ , one has o map the file in memory .using CreateFileMapping, this return us teh handle then passing this handle to MapViewOfFile will return us the starting address of the memory where the file is mapped & from there we can read the file as normal buffer.
Regards
