Position: Content Engineer
Really Strategies (http://www.reallysi.com/) is looking for a
full-time or contract content engineer with skills in these areas:
• XML and relational content analysis and design (including the
development of DTDs and W3C XML Schemas), preferably for publishing
applications (i.e., including document content as well as data)
• Transformations to and from XML using a variety of programming
languages (XSLT, XQuery, OmniMark, Perl, etc.)
• Light application programming (e.g., Javascript, PHP, scripting
interfaces to databases)
• Familiarity with and interest in publishing-related processes and
technologies for both online and print
• A personality and communication skills appropriate for consultative
work; our projects require close interaction with customers and
technology partners
• Willingness to travel within the US (amount of travel varies by
project)
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and without supervision
We are looking for people with both mid- and senior-level experience.
Candidates who combine the above skills with more advanced software
engineering capabilities are especially of interest.
These are not typical programming roles. Our team members must be
unusually good communicators, creative thinkers, energetic, and
motivated by demanding work. Please do not contact us if you are
looking for the typical 9-to-5 job. However, if you enjoy a challenge,
you will find our environment rewarding and flexible.
We will consider candidates from across the United States, although
our preference is for people located between Washington, DC and New
York City. Our offices are outside Philadelphia, and frequent travel
to Philadelphia will be required.
