PyDelphi & GPL Project?
Hello Morgan,
I`ve been gone a while. I recently created a program for Robosapien owners that allows them to do tons more with their robot. It`s called Robosapien Dance Machine, I`ve released it under as a GPL project, and it`s the current SourceForge Project Of The Month for May 2005:
http://sourceforge.net/potm/potm-2005-05.php
The application is written in Delphi, but I figure that if I really want to attract developers, the best thing I can do is add Python scripting support. Naturally, PyDelphi is the obvious choice here.
My concern is that there maybe a conflict with the PyDelphi license and the GPL license. I would of course give full attribution in the software About box and give a link to the latest PyDelphi distribution for people to download it.
Are you aware of any conflict between your license and the GPL?
Thanks,
Robert

That`s great! Congratulation!
I`ll download it and have a look, for sure!

P4D is completely freeware, without any specific license, meaning that you
can do absolutely anything with the code!
However, you have to look at Python`s license too, but I guess that it`s
compatible with the GPL...

Morgan,
Great! I don`t think I have to worry about Python, seeing as it`s run as an external DLL and I am not distributing it.
Thanks,
Robert
