Re: Digest Number 1162
hmm... funny - both the Adobe FrameMaker 7.2 FAQ and the Adobe
FrameMaker and XML FAQ refer to Frame 7.1 (!)
Perhaps there *aren`t* any new features in 7.2?

Well, after waiting two (?) years since 7.1, it`s amazing how little Adobe
has added to the new release.
Maybe Adobe should just come on out and say "This product is doomed", so
we`d know for sure what we`ve long suspected and we could all move on.

There`s some info here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/framemaker/newfeatures.html
According to that, they`ve added support for using W3C XML Schema
along with DTDs, and they`ve also added some XSLT integration.
But look at the first feature listed: Multiple Undo. I guess I had
forgotten that Frame didn`t have multiple undo. Incredible that
it`s taken them this long to get around to adding it.
Given another 5 years or so, maybe the development team there will
manage to figure out how to implement drag-and-drop text editing.

[sarcasm weight="light"]
What? You didn`t get the memo? Adobe is "re-investing" in Frame now.
`Course, that doesn`t mean anything if you`re a MacOS user.
