"meta tags"? Like a web page meta tag? That`s with HTML::HeadParser,
or just a straight HTML::TreeBuilder with the right poking around.

"without any perl module?" That`s irrelevant, since any Perl module
can be installed nearly anywhere. See "perldoc perlmodinstall". If
you`re on an ISP that`s hostile to even those instructions, *MOVE*.
Life is too short to be worrying about not leveraging the CPAN.

yes..but I have a script which does this without any perl module and
does it more, more faster then using LWP..
