The nightmare is over
Guys!
To those that might have been thinking of my program the nightmare is over.
The issue was in the dataset a and not in the dataAdapter. Thanks to

I was using the removeAt method which only removes the row from the dataset
but doesn`t set the property to deleted. So the update method was looking at
the dataset and not seeing any changes made, which what I suspected all
along. So the update method never ran. God! what a nasty one.
