The only way to do it is to change your Windows settings; the dropdown
button cannot be altered with code.
If you have the option to use a third-party control, you might try
EasyListBox ( http://easylistbox.com/demoCustomized.aspx ); with it you can
change the color and style of the button, as well as adding HTML to your
items, instant AJAX, and all kinds of other features (see the rest of the
demos).

(Urgent)How to change the color of a dropdownlist in asp.net
This brings up a problem I have been considering.
What is the best way to handle multiple CSS style sheets in a .Net
application.
Let`s say one person wants to use a style named mystyle.css and the other
wants to
use a style named yourstyle.css. How would you handle this? Don`t style
sheets need
to be included in the head before any script code runs?
I am looking for a solution that will allow me to assign style sheets based
on a variable
that is stored in a database so I am hoping the solution will be something I
can change
in a code behind page.

(Urgent)How to change the color of a dropdownlist in asp.net
IF you put a runat tag on the head, you can control the head, and on
the page class prerender, add elements to it.
So you can use code to decide what javascripts, css, etc to implement.
you can even mimic the RegisterJavascript with something like
RegisterCSSFile or something like that and call that mehtod from your
user controls, or personlaization logic layer.
then in the prerender for the page, add everything to the head.

(Urgent)How to change the color of a dropdownlist in asp.net
A literal control will let you do this quite easily.
Also check out DotNetNuke and Rainbow to see how they handle skinning
their pages (which is about what this is).
